A bit about myself.

My background is in cognitive science – human computer interaction, business, and speculative design. At first, I wasn’t sure where I was going with choosing these three areas of study. I started with marketing, then graphic design, and finally landed on the right field for me, UX design. It combined my love of exploring human behavior and creative thinking.

Previously, I worked as the Head of User Experience for a startup in San Diego, CA. Being my first job out of college, the startup world was a rollercoaster. I was constantly on my toes. Anything I didn’t know about business or tech, I had to learn outside of work and quickly. I learned what it was like to start and grow a business even in the hardest of times. This experience not only sharpened my design and research skills, but trained me how to work in a fast-paced and high pressure environment. After my time there I went on to strengthen my UX/UI skills with a personal project.

I’m open to new job opportunities in California or remote. Please feel free to contact me with any job openings or if you just want to chat! sa21rodriguez@gmail.com

What else makes me, me

Dogs 🐶: My phone is 98% dog pictures and some are not even mine. I am constantly hanging out with and spoiling my K9 friends.

Adventure 🏞️: Hiking, kayaking, climbing, roadtripping, let's do it all! I love taking a chance on a new experience. My most memorable is a 3 week road trip around the states with my roommates.

Crafts🎨: I’m not very good at sitting still so I sew, crochet, paint, and build. My happy place is a crafts and fabrics store.

Movies🍿: I'm obsessed with watching movies. My favorite types of movies are anything Marvel, Disney, and any horror movie.
